Everybody is responsible for safeguarding and being safe.  Our Code of Conduct sets the expectations on us all. Our club welfare officers play a key role in supporting all members to have a safe positive experience. They are members of the club committee. We have 2 welfare officers, Julie and Linzi.

If you have a worry, concern including related to safeguarding, discipline or conduct, they will help you work out what to do.

Mental health – We are not mental health experts, but the club does have a duty of care to support anyone in our sessions. We know, that often, small, everyday actions can make a big difference. We follow the Mind approach to Spot. Support. Signpost. This aims to help anyone, from volunteers to senior leaders, to:

    • Spot the signs someone may be struggling
    • Support them, if you feel able to
    • Signpost them to help and services
